Mean Girls

For everyone who feels the trailers were misleading is an idiot. The choreography and music are both teased and there is literally a music note in the title on the movie poster. Tina Fey had a hand in the movie adaptation of the musical Mean Girls and it was fantastic. Let me start by saying I really enjoy musicals and I think they can be a lot of fun. I feel like we all know the original Mean Girls, but this is a different movie. The plot was generally the same and featured the same characters (and had a couple of awesome cameos/references). What made this movie different other than the showtunes were the jokes. Obviously the creators are not gonna take the most iconic lines out of the script, but the subtle details or punch lines just felt like alternate takes from the original shoot. It was well paced and entertaining. A fun watch for those of us who like singing and dancing. ALSO! The ending was so cute and a beautiful on-screen execution of final curtains on stage.
